01The call gets answered
Rich Robert's call was answered immediately; Bob called him back within minutes. Dan keeley says the lady who answered was very nice and friendly, and Bob got back to him the same day. V Price: they always answered the phone and any questions.
I called them to get an estimate on clearing land at my cabin. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very nice and friendly....she told me she would have Bob call me back to set something up. Bob got back to me quickly the same day. Bob and his son Kurt came out on a Tuesday for my estimate and were willing to come back out the next day because of the weather coming that week. Kurt showed up at 7am like he said he would and got right to work. I told him what I was looking for and he nailed it. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Actually I will be calling them back for more work on my property in the future.
02Sometimes the estimate is a phone call
Ralph Smith wanted a stone pad for a new trailer. Bob knew the area and gave a fair estimate within 15 minutes of the call, without coming out. The crew arrived as planned, and the final bill was slightly less than the estimate — no hidden costs.
We needed a place to store our new trailer and decided to build a stone pad. We called B & K and asked for an estimate. Bob knew the area and gave a very fair estimate within 15 minutes of our phone call without coming to our house! We set up a date and they arrived as planned and completed the job quickly and professionally. Bob and Kurt worked well together and were pleasant and personable . The final bill was slightly less than the original estimate. No hidden costs. We would hire them again without question! Two thumbs up for Bob and Kurt!
03Usually they come and look
L Sheckler asked about grading where 13 hemlocks were coming out. Kurt wanted to see the area before the stumps were ground, stopped by on a Saturday, talked through the options and risks — and told them they needed a landscaper more than an excavator. Jesse Pentzer says they visited the site to provide options and gave an accurate quote. Dan keeley's estimate visit was a Tuesday; Kurt was back at 7 am as promised to start.
We contacted B&K for an estimate to grade an area where 13 large hemlocks are being removed and replaced with inkberry holly. Kurt called and we talked about our plan. Since the trees will be removed next week, and the area being graded diverts a lot of rain runoff from our house, Kurt wanted to see the area before the stumps were ground, explaining how at times it's best to remove the stumps entirely. He stopped by today, which is Saturday, listened to our plan, analyzed the area, and provided his recommendations. It was amazing! He talked us through the various options and risks with altering the existing swells. Turns out, we need a landscaper more than an excavator. Thank you Kurt for all your time & help with our project! Your expertise was invaluable!
04Options and a price point
Thomas Covaleski was given different options for a long downhill driveway, and B&K worked with him to meet his price point. Susanna Hummer says they will work with you on what you can afford, and that prices were more than fair even with inflation. Nancy Saxton-Mattie had her estimate the same evening as the visit.
We were in dire need of help with our driveway. Fairly long and down hill. Bob and Kurt were prompt and professional. They gave us different options and worked with us to meet our price point. In the end they exceeded our expectations for quality, workmanship and completed the job early.
